JOB ALERT – Nursing Services Coordinator – Community, Schools and Corporate Wellness

Job Purpose

We are committed to being there for people diagnosed with cancer, and their families, at every step of their cancer journey, and our services reflect that. Through our information and support services, we reach thousands of people each year, with education, information and advice focused on cancer prevention and early detection, as well as providing support services and financial assistance to those living with and beyond cancer.

We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Nursing Services Co-ordinator for our community, schools and corporate wellness services.

The role entails providing administrative support to all our nurses and drivers issuing schedules weekly and extensive networking across all healthcare providers, communities, corporate groups, schools and specifically targeting marginalised groups most vulnerable to cancer. The role also entails collating service records for management and administering the general Marie Keating Foundation email and telephone queries within the Foundation. This job requires both remote and office working. A minimum of 2 days per week will be office based with our office base is in Lucan. This role will report to the Assistant Director of Nursing Services.

Main Responsibilities

Community Outreach:

  • Work with Community venues in order to make bookings and schedule mobile unit and nursing visits in East, West and Southern regions. Maintain Nurse & Driver Contracts.
  • Maintain regular contact with nurses/drivers and inform them of schedules at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Ensure that posters and mobile unit adverts are sent to the contact person in each Community setting and ensure that a post evaluation is received in a timely manner (within one week)
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the Community Information Service being inclusive of all service provision such as Intellectual Disability groups, Pavee Point, Men’s sheds, Social Inclusion, refugees etc.
  • Work to ensure that 25% of our service continues to be in marginalised communities.
  • Refer users on to other services when information outside the remit of the Foundation is requested.
  • Keep up to date with national health events or public events – at which we should be represented.
  • Work in conjunction with all members of the team within MKF and provide support to events such as Bloom, Young Scientist or where other demands arise which need additional support.
  • Collaborate with ICS in relation to their Community Outreach Schedule.
  • Collect and collate all reports and statistics in relation to the Community outreach service, and produce monthly reports and analysis for Board meetings in a timely manner.
  • Collate and provide payroll data for accounts. Record annual leave for Nurses and Drivers. Also maintain Annual Leave and sickness records for Nurses and Drivers.
  • Record all contacts on CRM to get as many Community venues as possible within resource.
  • Ensure the website is updated with community venues on a weekly basis. Communications to be provided with detail on a weekly basis of public venues which MKF will be visiting so that adequate advertising of the service in all geographical areas can be maximised.

Corporate Wellness:

  • Work with corporate and business venues in order to make bookings and schedule All MKF nurses and support the Assistant Director of Nursing Services to deliver the corporate wellness onsite workshops or webinars.
  • Promote the corporate wellness service directly to companies and via other strategic partners.
  • Ensure Corporates receive all relevant materials e.g. introductory letter to services and price lists and work in accordance with the Service Level Agreement with all Health and Service wellness providers.
  • Manage invoicing process and following up in relation to payment for the corporate wellness service
  • Ensure the CRM is updated with all contact details of companies visited and targeted and continue to make and record new contacts on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that survey monkeys are sent/emailed to the contact person in each corporate and ensure that an evaluation is received in a timely manner.
  • Record all comments/evaluations received from Corporates and/or Nurses on a monthly basis and forward to the communications team as a resource.
  • Record all activity on a monthly basis and ensure this report is available at the end of the first week in every month, and available for all Board meetings.

Comfort Fund:

  • Check Comfort Fund applications against Database (CRM) as they come in and refer to comfort fund manager for approval.
  • Follow the Comfort Fund process and ensure all responsibilities are complete within this process.

Schools Cancer Awareness Programme:

  • Work with schools in order to promote the school’s programme and make bookings and schedule nursing visits in East, West and Southern regions.
  • Ensure schools receive all relevant materials e.g. introductory letter and satisfaction survey inside one week post event.
  • Ensure the CRM is updated with all contact details of schools visited and continue to make and record new contacts on a weekly basis.
  • Postgrad nurse co-ordination, support and administration
  • Ensure that feedback forms are emailed to the contact person in each school within one week of an event.
  • Record all activity on a monthly basis and ensure this report is available at the end of the first week in every month, and available for all Board Meetings.

Men’s Sheds:

  • Work with the Men’s Shed Association Ireland to deliver our Cancer Awareness Programme in their Sheds for Life programme.
  • Ensure MSAI receive all relevant materials e.g. introductory letter and satisfaction survey
  • Ensure the CRM is updated with all contact details of MSAI visited and continue to make and record new contacts on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that forms are sent /emailed to the contact person in each association and ensure that a satisfaction survey form is received in a timely manner.
  • Record all activity on a monthly basis and ensure this report is available at the end of the first week in every month, and available for all Board Meetings.

Telephone, Post and Office Administration:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls
  • Manage the Foundation’s main email address [email protected]
  • Assist in co-ordination of telephone service.
  • Assist in post and general office duties.
