Thanks to Dalata’s fundraising efforts, the Marie Keating Foundation has been able to purchase two new mobile information units. The mobile units, staffed by specialist nurses, offer free and accessible cancer education and support, ensuring that vital information reaches the heart of communities nationwide.

We are incredibly excited to share that our Charity Partner the Dalata Hotel Group the largest hotel operator in Ireland announced that it will be extending its partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation for another 3-year term extending to 2028! Thanks to Dalata’s fundraising efforts in the first 3 years of our partnership, we have been able to purchase two new mobile information units. Through the remarkable commitment, kindness and generosity shown by the Dalata Hotel Group and its employees nationwide, we have been able to bring lifesaving cancer information to thousands of people all around Ireland. The funds raised throughout our first three years significantly enhanced our capacity to deliver our vital nursing outreach services to the people who needed it most. This partnership has been crucial to our mission of saving lives by raising awareness and promoting early cancer detection across communities in Ireland. For the next 3 years we can turn our focus to supporting people living with and beyond cancer through our cancer support and survivorship services, helping patients and their families at every stage of a cancer journey.

Dalata Staff and Communities Dig Deep for the
Marie Keating Foundation

“Every year in Ireland, almost 45,000 people are diagnosed with cancer and one in two of us will be affected in our lifetime. Together, the Dalata Hotel Group. Over the course of 3 years,  specialist MKF nurses provided almost 100,000 people across Ireland with lifesaving information to reduce their risk of cancer and how to spot the signs and symptoms early, helping to save lives in every community across Ireland, supported by the addition of two new mobile information units and 5 speciality nurses.”

Together, Dalata Hotel Group and Marie Keating Foundation delivered over 100,000 lifesaving conversations between nurses and members of the public on spotting the signs of cancer early as part of their ‘Dalata’s Drive to Defeat Cancer’ initiative. The Mobile Units also visit Dalata hotels across Ireland, with local communities invited to come along, helping to save lives. We are so grateful to Dalata’s 4,000 employees across all their Irish hotels, including the Clayton and Maldron brands, who have raised over €612,000 in aid of the Foundation to date. With renewed commitment in extending the partnership for 3 more years, the funds raised during this next term will help to fund the Foundation’s Cancer support services. The Difference Makers initiative reinforces Dalata’s values of integrity, fairness, inclusion, and service. It exemplifies the Group’s commitment to responsible business, making a significant positive impact with its charity partners.

Dalata's Got Talent 2025

A number of Dalata employees from Ireland and the UK took part in the second Dalata's Got Talent Competition. The event took place in the Civic Theatre Tallaght on Wednesday 19th of February. It was a night jam packed with talent all raising funds for their charity partners, the Marie Keating Foundation, Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, and Leukaemia Care in the UK. There were nine brilliant acts sharing their amazing talents which made the final choice difficult for the audience and celebrity judges, Martin King, Mary Byrne and Aoibheann Mc Caul. The wonderful Annie Chisambo hosted the event and kept smiles on everyones face throughout!

While Dalata run fundraising activities all year round, September is their primary month to focus on their charity partners and engage colleagues in fun activities to raise vital funds for their charity partners. Dalata Digs Deep month runs across their hotels in Ireland, UK, and Germany to support each countries chosen charity.
