The Marie Keating Foundation’s BRCA Online Support Group is designed to give, men and women with a BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 diagnosis a safe space where they can meet others who are on a similar journey and share experiences together.
This session will be coordinated by a Marie Keating Foundation nurse and a trained BRCA Peer to Peer volunteer who can offer additional support if needed. This months session will take place on Thursday, 30th November at 6pm and all are welcome.
We will be joined by ‘Mary Moriarty, Systemic Psychotherapist, and she will present at this meeting on emotional and Psychological impact of a BRCA alteration and the importance of self-care. Mary works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Psycho-Oncology Service at St Vincent’s University Hospital has been in that role for eleven years’
This session is designed to be a sharing space for members of the BRCA community and as such, has limited spaces. These slots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, but please check the events section to see the other dates available throughout the year.
