The Marie Keating Foundation’s BRCA Online Support Group is designed to give, men and women with a BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 diagnosis a safe space where they can meet others who are on a similar journey and share experiences together.

This session will be coordinated by a Marie Keating Foundation nurse and a trained BRCA Peer to Peer volunteer who can offer additional support if needed. This months session will take place on Thursday, 8th December at 6pm and all are welcome.

 

We have also invited a special guest  Health Psychologist and Psychotherapist Avril Ivory to come and speak to the group about psychological and physical well-being

Avril Ivory (M.Psych.Sc) is a Health Psychologist and Psychotherapist who uses talk therapy and natural medicine interventions to improve Psychological and Physical well-being. Her main focus is improving mental health and helping people to thrive. She is a professional skilled in Psychotherapy, Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Acupuncture and Wellness Coaching. She is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland, (PSI),The Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the Acupuncture Council of Ireland (ACI). Avril She obtained an Honours degree in Psychology from Trinity and an MSc in Health psychology from UCG before training in various forms of Natural medicine.

This session is designed to be a sharing space for members of the BRCA community and as such, has limited spaces. These slots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, but please check the events section to see the other dates available throughout the year.
