Donate today to ensure communities like yours have access to lifesaving support & advice on cancer

Every year, our nurses talk to, support and educate 30,000 people in communities across Ireland on the early signs and symptoms of cancer.

This life saving work and its impact takes place in the thousands of personal conversations with our nurses that happen on board our three Mobile Information Units in villages, towns and cities like yours.

The Units, staffed by our specialist nurses, bring cancer information straight into the heart of communities nationwide. This vital service is at risk next year, due to a shortfall in our income and we urgently need your support to ensure we continue to make a difference to people's lives.

Your donation today will help communities in Ireland access the advice and support they need

One day, a woman in her 20's stepped onto a Mobile Information Unit in Galway not looking for advice but simply to say thank you.

Aoife saw the Mobile Unit in her local village and felt compelled to come on board and speak to our nurse Philomena (Phil). Aoife had just gone through her own breast cancer journey and was thankfully out the other side after her treatment.

Years before Phil and one of our Units had visited her school and delivered the Schools Cancer Awareness Programme where they learned all about the importance of self checking, being body aware and what those early signs and symptoms of cancer were.

Because of that Aoife regularly checked her own body for changes and one day found what she thought was a small lump in her breast. Thanks to having the information Aoife knew she had to go to her GP to get checked and was eventually diagnosed with breast cancer. The good news was that Aoife had caught her cancer early and made a full recovery.

Aoife understands how important it is that our Units remain on the road visiting schools and communities like yours, giving free advice and information on cancer prevention and early detection.

Please donate today to ensure our Mobile Units and nurses can continue to be at the heart of communities offering free lifesaving advice and information
