No family should have to face cancer alone
Ciara and Daniel lost their mam Bernie to breast cancer. Heart breaking and devastating, it turned their entire world upside down.
Help us be there for families like Bernie’s. We can’t do it without you.

We supported Bernie for six years, both when she was diagnosed with primary breast cancer and again when she was re-diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
Just before Christmas 2020, Bernie passed away.
“The Marie Keating Foundation was there, in ways we could never be there.” Daniel, Bernie’s son.
“We are so lucky to have them in our lives, if we were scared at all and didn’t know what to do, we could have rang them up at any point and asked for anything and they’d be here with whatever we needed.” Ciara, Bernie’s daughter.
How we help everyday
Through our team of caring and compassionate nurses we provide a wide and varied array of services to help provide support, information and advice to people at every step of their cancer journey. Our services focus on cancer prevention and education, or support and community for those already on a cancer journey.
About us
Following their mother Marie’s death from breast cancer in 1998, the Keating family promised to provide the people of Ireland with vital information, advice and support on the signs and symptoms of cancer and help to prevent cancer or detect it at its earliest stages. The Marie Keating Foundation was established in her memory and with this central ambition in mind.
The Foundation's mission is to make cancer less frightening by enlightening and our aim is to live in a world free from the fear of cancer.
