We are so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mary Bodley.

Mary was a dear friend, supporter, member of our Positive Living Group, and breast cancer ambassador for the Marie Keating Foundation for many years, and most notably as one of our “Breast Cancer Isn’t Just Pink” ambassadors in 2021.

Mary shared with us this message in 2021 as part of the campaign  “Everyone’s cancer journey is unique. We all have our colour to describe our cancer. Mine is ‘forever sea blue’, it’s that feeling like sometimes you are drowning, and then sometimes that you are as free as the blue sea itself. My reality is that I won’t be cured, but I won’t let that stop me from helping others by talking about the importance of breast cancer awareness, screening and services which are crucial to so many families across the country, including mine.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with her beloved husband Dermot and daughters Rebecca and Aimée at this time, along with all her colleagues at Roche, loved ones and friends.

Mary will be sorely missed and always remembered by all at the Marie Keating Foundation who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in gentle peace, Mary
