Assistant Director of Nursing Bernie Carter nominated for the Laura Brennan Award.

The entire team and board of the Marie Keating Foundation are incredibly proud to share that our Assistant Director of Nursing Bernie Carter was nominated for the Laura Brennan award this year and was one of the runners up awarded a scroll in recognition of her contributions to HPV and the Cervical Cancer Elimination Campaign.

The Laura Brennan Award is presented on an annual basis by the ISGO to a patient, organisation or member of the public as a recognition of outstanding achievement in the areas of gynaecological oncology patient advocacy and or public and patient involvement in research.

We are all truly delighted to see Bernie’s passion and dedication to HPV education and awareness and the Cervical Cancer Elimination Campaign recognised and to see her nominated for such an important award alongside such esteemed peers striving for lifesaving change.

Stay tuned in January when we will be sharing an incredible new resource to support increased awareness and understanding of HPV, its impact and the importance of vaccination.
