BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Marie Keating Foundation is one of the leading voices in Ireland for cancer prevention, awareness and support. Following their mother Marie’s death from breast cancer in 1998, the Keating family promised to provide the people of Ireland with vital information, advice and support on the signs and symptoms of cancer and help to prevent cancer or detect it at its earliest stages. They are committed to being there for people diagnosed with cancer, and their families at every step of this cancer journey, and their services reflect that.
THE ROLE:
The Marie Keating Foundation is now seeking a creative and skilled Senior Communications Officer who will play a significant role in ensuring that the Foundation maintains and grows its highly respected brand and reputation.
You will support the Foundation’s overall communications and content function, working with the various teams within this tightly knit charity, including fundraising and services provision.
You will be across the wide communications network at the Foundation managing social media channels, updating content on the www.mariekeating.ie website, reviewing and editing brochure materials, briefing creative agencies on campaigns as well as compiling and evaluation reports on for sponsors. You will collaborate creatively to plan and help co-ordinate online events you will work with the team to ensure that the Foundation can capitalise on media exposure in line with its strategic objectives. You will be comfortable acting as a point of contact internally and externally, to media and other key sponsors as needed.
The successful candidate will have experience (3 years preferably) working across all aspects of internal and external communications, ideally in a charity or within an agency.
